What research to corne with the implementation of the REACH European regulation ? Implementation of the REACH European régulation will lead to major changes in the way chemicals substances will be produced and used along the supply chain. Such a change needs to be supported by a strong research effort. This paper gathers the preliminary results of a large dialogue between scientists, industry and Government bodies organized by the French Research Agency (ANR) and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).

La mise en oeuvre du règlement européen REACH va conduire à des changements profonds dans la manière dont les substances chimiques seront produites et utilisées tout au long de la chaîne d'approvisionnement. Un tel changement doit être soutenu par un effort de recherche important. Cet article rassemble les premières conclusions issues d'un large dialogue entre scientifiques, industriels et services de l'État, organisé par l'Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) et le CNRS.
