Experimental study of explosions generated from the massive release of a flammable gas, as a high momentum jet, for different conditions (free or obstructed, steady or transient, jet of CH4, C3H8n or H2)

Résumé

In the chemical and petrochemical plants, large amounts of flammable gases are handled or stored and their accidental release can occur. In view of the hazards for on-site personnel and environment, it is necessary to develop methods by which the possible consequences of fire and explosion can be assessed.
