Benchmark study on international functional safety standards

International functional safety standards are becoming a major reference for the development and the validation of safety related systems. Thus, the quality of these standards and the way they are applied are particularly critical. That is why the authors, in the framework of the IMdR P08-2 project, decided to realize a study about the different standards in use. The motivations and the main results are given in this paper.
