Phénomène couplé thermo-hydro-mécanique des roches fracturées : Récents développements des méthodes de modélisation et tests de validation

Abstract : Questions must be raised about the degree of complexity desirable in a predictive model of a fractured rocky medium. The first key question concerns the simplifications to be made to the geometry of a fractured network. The alternative is to treat the rocky mass as a continuum or, conversely, to take into account the geometrical irregularities at each fracture plane. The second question concerns the modelling of the coupled thermal-hydraulic-mechanical phenomena. The article presents two aspects of recent research on this topic. The third question concerns the validation of the models. A three-dimensional model of the french experimental site of Fanay-Augeres has been used 10 show the reliability of the tool used for predicting the thermal-mechanical behaviour.
