Modélisation des glissements de terrains par un critère d'instabilité matérielle

Abstract : This article deal with Hill's bifurcation criterion, which is very well suited for describing all failure modes in soils. First part is dedicated to the analytical and numerical study of this criterion through the octo and incrementally non linear constitutive relations of Darve. The 3D bifurcation domain limit and 3D cones of unstable directions are given for these two relations. Then in a second part, we show that that this criterion, implemented in a finite elements code with hydro mechanical coupling, enables the accurate description and the simulation of the failure mode and the failure surface of the Petacciato landslide, which occurs after strong rainfalls under a 6 degrees slope in average.
