Maîtrise des accidents NaTech dans les installations industrielles

Abstract : Natural hazards have triggered major industrial accidents in the past, even if these NaTech accidents - a contraction of the words "natural" and "technological"- were not very numerous. The usual risk management approach for NaTech risks includes adequate design to predefined natural events, whereas acceptability based on the quantitative assessment of residual risk is rarely considered. This article presents the typology of the different natural events: flooding, earthquake and lightning. For each of them, the main principles of risk control are presented.
