Panorama de la modélisation de la dispersion atmosphérique

Abstract : This article presents the possibilities in modeling of atmospheric dispersion. It shows that it is not so easy to make a choice among the models despite the guidelines. Indeed, except for rare cases of lapped school and work routine, treatment of a modeling problem will be disturbed by sometimes unavoidable elements. This is for example the case of a situation that requires from the beginning to ask a simplified hypothesis for lack of data on a type of emissions, a perfectible simulated wind field, a homogeneous roughness while surfaces are different, etc. Therefore, the use of one type of model over another will have little influence on the final simulations. Finally, the modeling shows that it must remain complementary to information from the ground measure whenever possible, because ultimately alone can account for the air quality.
