Simulation and monitoring of a CO2 leakage event on the experimental site of Catenoy (Oise, France)

Abstract : The CIPRES project is dedicated to the study of “Potential impacts on groundwater quality of CO2 geological storage". One of the objectives is to simulate a CO2 leakage by in situ experiment. The Catenoy experimental site, located in the Paris basin, has been equipped to monitor a CO2 leakage simulated event in the shallow chalky aquifer. First results show a weak impact.
