Simulation and monitoring of a CO2 leakage event on the experimental site of Catenoy (Oise, France)

Résumé

The CIPRES project is dedicated to the study of “Potential impacts on groundwater quality of CO2 geological storage". One of the objectives is to simulate a CO2 leakage by in situ experiment. The Catenoy experimental site, located in the Paris basin, has been equipped to monitor a CO2 leakage simulated event in the shallow chalky aquifer. First results show a weak impact.
