Surveillance du risque d’effondrement localisé dans une exploitation de sel par dissolution

Abstract : Solution mining can induce local ground failures, called sinkholes, rising a risk management issue to the mining staff. The solution mine of SOLVAY, at Pontiginori, in Tuscany (Italy), induces such pervasive sinkhole phenomena due to the geological context. To anticipate and manage these geohazards Solvay installed during the 80’s a microseismic monitoring which allowed to anticipate several ground failures in 2015.
