Surveillance globale et fusion de données industrielles et environnementales pour la sécurité et la transparence des mines du futur

Abstract : The European I2MINE project ("Innovative technologies and concepts for the smart deep mine of the future") involving INERIS as a major partner, aims to develop innovative methods and technologies for the mine of the future. These target exemplary reduction of the environmental impact of mines in a virtuous goal of "Transparent Mine", defined in a broad sense. The mining industry going deeper and deeper, it must also develop new safety strategies for a better risk prevention. The research carried out by INERIS focuses on three main topics : comprehensive analysis of all prominent impacts of a mining project, implementation and efficiency assessment of the mining method known as “backfilled rooms and pillars” and prevention of geotechnical risks including induced seismicity hazard. The results provide new knowledge and wider information on proved and potential social and environmental impacts of a mining site on territory, as well as on georisks management during mine closure and beyond its abandonment.
