Comportement de parois en bardage métallique sous sollicitation d’explosion : expériences et modélisation

Abstract : INERIS has been interested in the behavior of the corrugated metal panels to overpressure from accidental explosion. The development of models representative of the behavior of corrugated walls to overpressure was confronted with a lack of validation, resulting from the limited experimental data. In order to improve knowledge on these structures, INERIS conducted an experimental campaign on corrugated metal panels subjected to an external explosion. The objective of this article is to highlight the results obtained during this campaign on the development and validation of analytical and numerical mechanical models. A series of nine medium-scale tests were conducted on the INERIS explosion-structure platform on various sets of panels, boundaries and fixings subjected to various shock waves. The amplitude and duration of the positive phase of the shock waves, resulting from detonation, equal to several tens of milliseconds, is representative of industrial cases. The results of the tests helped to reinforce the knowledge about the fracture modes. An analytical model has been developed and numerical models have been implemented.
